That might mean attending a course, using an online package or being coached by an experienced member of staff. We're governed by the Financial Services and Markets Act, so we need to know the laws and how to work within them. For some jobs, such as those that involve giving advice on certain products, some types of training are mandatory and people have to take tests to prove they know their stuff. We're serious about getting it right, so we need people who'll take learning seriously.
Once you're settled in your initial role at Santander we'll want you to think about your future. You don't have to have a 5-year plan, but it helps to think ahead to ensure that your career is moving in the right direction.
