Service & Control Managers are focused on ensuring that Santander delivers the best customer service experience on the high street. Reporting to the Branch Manager, You’ll give the branch team the training, direction and motivation they need to delight customers and drive sales, whilst meeting all our regulatory and financial security requirements.
Sound interesting? Whilst leading your team to perform at the highest standards, you’ll always be looking for ways to improve things. You’ll oversee everything from the general appearance of the branch, people management to merchandising and queue management. Managing your resources effectively and within budget will be a core focus, as will assisting the Branch Manager to follow employment policies and procedures
In order to join our team you’ll need to combine experience of managing a team, preferably in a retail sales or Banking environment, with a detailed understanding of branch or store control procedures and financial security.
Ideally you will also have retail banking experience.
Skills required:
· Confident and willing to take on responsibility.
· Excellent attention to detail and quality and control standards
· Cash and till management - fast and accurate cash handling and able to manage and balance a till
· Proven experience of working in a customer focused environment and implementing initiatives to continually improve customers’ experience –
· Experience of coaching, development and performance management of a team
· Proven record of consistent achievement of personal and team sales referrals performance and working within a sales and target based environment
· Experience of working in an environment where risk management and adherence to quality and control procedures is essential
