With the continued growth of Abbey for Intermediaries, part of the Santander group, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Telephone Business Development Manager. The intermediary division of the bank is responsible for the sale of mortgages and insurance products through Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) and represents one of the largest parts of the banks business.You will be required to achieve personal sales and service targets and take responsibility for the team’s delivery against such. You will ensure that you follow mortgage and GI application handling in correct adherence to process and policy as stipulated by the appropriate governance and control frameworks at all times, whilst exhibiting highly professional telephony skills and behaviours when handling in-bound and out-bound sales and service calls. We are looking to recruit highly client and customer orientated individuals with a result driven background, where your business development and sales management skills will be put to the forefront. You will have a proven track record of achieving your sales targets in an pro-active sales environment . With excellent interpersonal and customer care skills, you will also possess a proven ability to negotiate, influence and motivate at all levels both externally and internally. Thorough understanding of relevant regulatory requirements e.g. FSA Guidelines, Council of Mortgage Lenders, Money Laundering etc would be an advantage, a willingness to work in a targeted environment and continue to hit targets is essential.
